Team: Gabe Silverstein and Vianey Garcia
Project: In a group discuss and compare the examples of microinteractions you picked up in week 1. Out of the six examples pick one microinteraction which you find most problematic.
Attempt to re-imagine a similar interaction in an entirely different context. Pick three out of the following six contexts - or add one of your own:
1) Video Game
2) Mobile App
3) Museum Touchscreen
4) Desktop/Web app
5) Alexa/Chatbot service
6) Physical Device (Our choice: Alcoholic Bar dispensing machine)
Create rapid prototypes of what that microinteraction would look like in those contexts. This could be a set of wireframes, a storyboard, a system diagram - whatever is necessary to communicate your ideas.
---
We decided to base our microinteraction on the Spotify "quick add" feature. To have a quick menu selection in order to add something to a particular selection.
We then applied concept this to our 3 chosen other interactions 1) Video game quick weapon selection, 2) Museum Touchscreen (Add painting to view), and 3) A quick add button on an alcoholic vending machine, "Bar 'O' Matic".
